Mic for kick drum

There are tons of mics I would love to buy. But I try to make due with what I've got when possible. So I'm going to use an MD 421 on the kick. It's for live performance amplification of the drums and using the same feed into a recording unit. For my jazz band, should work fine. The drum mic police might disagree but I doubt most people will hear a difference.

As I said in post 5, the 421 works fine, a lot of live guys (older ones) used a 421 before all these special mics came out.

I'm old and I'm proud. And I already own the 421. Seems like the stars are lined up right?
