Mic Check Please?

OK CHECK THIS I ONLY HAVE $97US TO SPEND ON A DECENT MIC BUT REALLY WANT TO SPEND HALF TO 3/4'S OF THAT. I WANT TO RECORD VOCALS TO MY COMPUTER.
CAN SOMEONE GIVE ME A MIC CHECK PLEASE?
MY GENRE IS R&B/RAP.

YO Da Goat,

To begin with, you will not get to much for what you are willing to spend. For that, all you're going to be able to get would be a Sure SM57 or 58.

Can I offer a couple of suggestions to ya. First, to save yourself from being bbq'd on this board, I would recommend using the search button.

Also to help get your questions anwered with specifics, I would recommend trying to be a little more detailed.

As an example, when I read your post, I am making an assumption that you want to record vocals, but I could be totally wrong.

A pair of AT 4033's, a pair of C1000's, and around 6 or 7 SM 57's, and one ATM 25 will get you very nice results in just about any recording session.....

Yeah... an SM58 would probably be my choice...
