mic cables, which ones?

Hey, i need to buy several mic cables for recording. i saw this 10 pack on musicians friend. i know they are probably not that great but i dont have much to spend. i figured i would buy these now and then as i go, i'll buy better mic cables one at a time. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7...2095853344/search/g=rec/detail/base_id/102798

As i hear the cheapest way to do it is to buy a roll of mogami cable and some neutrik connectors and make them yourself.

I guess the trick is finding somewhere to buy the individual components. In the US that's probably easy for you.
