Hello all
I am starting to upgrade the mics in my studio. My budget for my next mic is roughly $600. I am looking for a mic that will be strong on vocals, but will also be fairly versatile because I cannot afford a mic for every purpose. My studio is pretty quite. The recording room has been insulated pretty well and the console room has been separated by 2 walls with offset studs; that being said, I don't have to worry as much about the mic being too sensitive to extraneous noise.
I am currently looking at the following 4 mics, however I am open to suggestions from those who have had more experience than I...
Audio-Technica AT4050
BLUE Baby Bottle
Rode NT2000
Audio-Technica AT4047/SV
The mics I currently own are:
1-sm57
1-sm58
1-Behringer b2
1-AT3035
1-AT813r
1-Beta52
2-Peavey pvm-480
AT DRM 4-Piece drum mic set (I use the beta52 on bass drum)
Thanks in advance
