has anyone ever had this problem with the echo mia?

when my computer plays any sound---even just the system wave files or an mp3, the mia starts playing maybe a quarter of a second into the file, effectively cutting off the beginning.

any suggestions? thanks.

I think that was a problem with one of the older sets of drivers last year.... you did download the newest set from their website instead of installing what came on the CD didn't you???

BTW: I always put a couple of measures of drumsticks at the start of my songs so that everything has eight beats to calm down and get up to speed before the music anyway and then I edit it out of the final wav before burning a CD....

this actually just started happening a few days ago. my mia had been functioning perfectly for a year until then.

actually, i have an sblive! hooked up through the mia via the dig in and around the time it started doing that, the sblive! was going crazy every once in a while making loud static noises. i checked the connections in the back and restarted my computer--the static noises stopped, the mia started doing this.

have you fragged lately? cleaned temp files/cookies etc? just a thought..

you may have made a config change in the program somehow, i did with sound forge and had to reinstall to get it back to correct status...

Oh, if it happens on and off when you mess with the cables then it sounds like you just have a bad patch cable....
