I need to get a simple mixer to use with my Audiophile 2496. Looks like its down to a decision between a Behringer UB1002 and a Yamaha MG10/2.

I've read a number of posts on this board about ways you can set up a simple Behringer to track vocals while monitoring the rest of the backing mix. Using the tape inputs, etc.

Does anyone have experience with the MG10/2? Can I set it up in a similar way to monitor and record at once? And... is it worth the extra cash to buy a Yamaha instead of a Behringer 1002?

I recognize that I'm looking at budget equipment either way - is it worth paying the extra $40?

Thanks for any advice!
Drew.

I compared both for use as talkback monitors.....

get the Yamaha.......!

Yeh he's right.

I was going to get a 10/2 but I went for the 12/4 and they are a good unit. Real value for money with the quality Yamaha pres
