I can't hear the metronome. I can hear it if I use the intern pc speaker, but nothing in my "real" speakers. I have pressed the button "play while record" and "play while playback". Maybe its something in the midi setup, I don't know so much about that.
Thanks for reply.

what soundcard are you using?
i have the direct pro 2496, and it doesn't play the metronome unless i have 'use pc speaker' enabled. i checked with aardvark's support, and the soundcard doesn't really support midi sounds. maybe your soundcard card is the same, in which case you'd have to install another soundcard to play midi.

Yeah, if you have a soundcard like postalblue's, you have no MIDI sound source to play the metronome event. If you have external MIDI gear, you can route it through the MIDI Out port to the external device. I doubt a software synth would be a good candidate tp provide the click because of latency issues.

I have SB Audigy Platinum ex. So I don't belive it's my soundcard. It is really annoying. If I can't hear my metronome I can't record anything.

did you check the port cakewalk is using for midi sounds? can you hear any other midi sounds in cakewalk? if not, try changing the port or source in the options menu.
