Metronome clicks

Thanks for your replies, I can silence out the first few clicks on the intro to the piece however at the end durring the fade out of the instrument the clicks are present. I have tried filtering but I loose the tone. At the risk of sounding too inept, I don't know how to record the metronome. I think that would solve my problem as I could split and delete the unwanted clicks at the end. Again thank you for your replies. I do enjoy the whole experience.
