Hello folks, Can someone help me with my metronome? When recording a track with Audition 1.0, I can hear the metronome at the end of the track. I know the mike is picking it up from the head phones as I like to have the click's quite loud. I guess my question is can I the have the metronome stop just before the end of the track? I can't seem to find a method to do this.
Thank you very much.

Im not really sure what your asking but I guess you could record the metronome onto a track. Then edit out the place where you want it to stop. Maybe this helps?

You could do what Wireneck suggested, or you could stop using the metronome...

Instead of not using the metronome, I would suggest better mic placement or better isolation headphones.

Thank you very much for your replys. I can silence the first few clicks on the intro to the song but at the end of the piece as the instruments fade out the clicks are there. I have tried filtering but I loose the tone. I have considered recording the clicks and stopping them a few beats before the fade out, but at the risk of sounding to inept, I don't know how. I thought AA would have the capability of doing this as it must be a common delema.

To be honest Ron, you're the first person I've heard of who records with the metronome on... I'm not sure why you'd want to do that...?

I believe that if you set the metronome to play, mute all tracks, then setup a new track to record from the "monitor mixer" source, you can record the metronome playing.

I use the metronome because I don't have a drum program and my timing is terrible if i don't use it. I know that probably sounds pretty lame but what's one do........ I am going to try the " monitor mixer ". I think I understand how that might work. Thanks guys. I need all the help I can get. I don't even know how use this forum correctly but I see how it can be real help. Thanks again. It's great.
