First time on this forum. Let me know what you all think of this project. It has no bass or vocals yet. I have been budget recording for about 6 months now this is my fifth project. I'm just curious on what other people might think so be honest.

I think youtube may be the suckiest way to listen to a song for critique.

Free mp3 hosting. You can even throw a 320kbps version up, which would be awesome.

Well, since it has no bass, it's really kind of pointless to talk about it. It's incomplete. A song with no bass is like a house with no furniture. It's just empty. I guess what you have so far is okay, but that could all change drastically once you put bass in there.

Not a bad tune except for the drums. They sound a little weak and the cymbals are not very strong. It will be better with vox and bass.

Bass is in process but I'm having a hard time figuring which route. do i follow the guitar, or create a sub melody or both.... I'm using beta monkeys doublebass mania drum loops. They sound alright but your right the cymbals are a bit weak. I posted this unfinished one because the others are not as decent, mixing wise (still got allot to learn). BTW (noob question) what is a VOX besides the amp?

Vox=vocals.

You've got a pretty good start here. I like your guitar, snare, and kick tones.
The cymbals are really weak though.
I'd also be careful when tracking the guitars. There are a few spots where they seem like they're not quite in time with each other.

I'd be interested to hear the final mix when you get it finished. It could be pretty cool.

Also, I thought you had to have at least 5 posts before you could link offsite? How'd you do that?

Might be to repetitive but i'll have to see how it is with bass and vocals. Vomit, I have no idea, I just posted without probs. Thanks for the input people, Much appreciated!
