This band is playing covers from various artists, pop/rock tunes from the 60', 70' & 80' period, but all that into a meatl-jacket. Double basdrum, distorted, d-tuned guitars, 'grunt'-vocals and such.... I put a few songs online for you to judge, if you like :D. I'm planning to present these mixes as a take-off point for improvement towards the other band members. But to be honest I think your notes about the mixes would be more valuable for the overall sound ;). I do have quite a cheap/crappy monitoring chain, including my ears :o, and receiving feedback from people with more experience, better gear and better ears would be appriciated.

All tracks recorded seperately (some more that 2 months apart) on my 2.2GHz, 512Mb, Delta1010LT, Sonar 2.2, computer system. First-time recording & mixing myself...

The music is pretty messed up, sorry for that : all stood still (Ultrafox) & do wah diddy (Manfred Mann) can be found here!

Not my cup of tea, but it was kinda cool to listen to something I don't hear everyday. Pretty good job with the mix, considering my cheap pc speakers...

I don't know if you intended this to be amusing, but it really is pretty funny. It reminds me of these two "hardcore" white rappers I saw open some punk show once. I wish I could remember their name. They had this song called "Lean In" that was the funniest thing, because they just took themselves way too seriously.

"Lean in, Motherf*cker, Lean In!!!!"
:D :D :D

Bwehehe.. Jip, it's somthing else for sure. That was the intention from the beginning, getting some smiles on faces while on stage... on our faces as well on the publics'.. seems it does the same here, a good thing I guess. Anyhow: I find it freaking difficult to get everything blend nicely and keeping a nice overall image soundwise. Any suggestions on how I could improve on that aspect would be really helpfull..

Thanks for the feedback guys, that will be appriciated here...

Thats funny. You made my 1 year old dance. Man thats got to hurt to sing like that. I don't know what to say, but its amuzing.
