You could open the footpedal and see which pins are connected, and make your own. If it's more than three wires, or you need special connectors, $15.95 ain't a bad price, because you will need to hunt that stuff down to make one yourself.
 
I haven't gotten the pedal yet.

I can't find a 5 pin din male/male cable that looks like this one.... :confused:

Yeah, that's the pisser. You could search through catalogs, it's gotta be out there somewhere, but is it worth it, unless you want the thrill of the hunt? :p

Try Mouser, Digikey, and Parts Express if you want. Some computer companies might have them too.
