Merging Tracks Seemlessly

I've read other posts, but not found one with the exact same problem.

First, I am a bad keyboard player so I can only record one item (verse, chorus, turnaround etc..)at a time without screwing up.

I now have 17 separate tracks which comprise the whole song start to finish. Each one of those tracks has a 3 or 4 second lead in. For drums, I used a standard beat from a Yamaha piano.
When I tried copying and pasting after cutting off the leadins, I get a click or it's not synced, it is obvioulsy a splice.
It would be very time consuming to try to get each part copied and pasted perfectly.

I know there are other solutions, but I am ignorant of them. I have Cubase 6.

Each time you copy/paste a section you are creating a new event. If there is not complete silence at the end or start of a new event, you can get those clicks.

If the 'Events' overlap, you can crossfade them by clicking 'X' on the keyboard. If they do not, you will likely want to fade in and out the event. That is what the little squares at the top of each end of each event are for. Drag them into the event to create the fade in. You can also change where the new event (copy) starts by dragging the squares at the bottom of the event.

Now for things being out of time where you paste them, just left click and drag any event until it is in time. Make sure the snap button is not engaged if you are not recording to a click track. You can also slide the audio within an event (Slip Edit) by holding 'Ctrl+Alt' and sliding the audio left or right with the mouse.

Hope any of this was helpful. :)

Thanks jimmy....

I figured out how to merge them without modifying them at all.

I hit "solo" on each of the 19 tracks,
went to File and clicked "export", then audio mixdown
Selected "Import to pool/audio mixdown

And that worked. It is seamless like I played the parts from start to finish!

Ah, not I see what you were trying to accomplish. That works! :)
