Just wondering how many are using these strings.

I order a dozen sets and was really suprised how nice they sound.
I have been using Elixir's and DAdario or how ever you spell it.

These strings are dirt cheap and seem to have a fuller sound with
more harmonics almost like when you replace a plastic saddle with
a bone saddle. I don't if it's just me or the fact I've been using
Elixirs so long. I tryed a couple sets out so far on electrics and acoustic
with the same excellent result.

And to make the deal even better they have free shipping.

You can check them out at webstrings.com

I ordered a couple sets of Memphis and some of the San Diego acoustics for the first time a few months ago. They're OK for the money.

Don't know about guitar strings much---haven't experimented with them a lot---but I know that with stringed instruments in general, the way a set of strings sounds varies a lot between instruments. If an instrument naturally sounds bright, you might want to use a darker set of strings to tame it, while if an instrument naturally sounds dark, you might want to use a brighter set of strings to bring it out of the mud. Put that same bright set on a bright instrument and it sounds thin.

In other words, your mileage may vary. :D

What kind of guitar did you like 'em on?

I put some on a tele I think they were 11-50 these sound great I wanted something with a little firmness for a good rhythm sound.
I put some on a strat 9 - 46 very slinky compared to the tele.
I also put a set on a Martin 000-16GTR 11-52 I believe.

They all sounded great compared to the Elixirs that were on them, I think
all the coating kills the harmonics you get from untreated strings, but I'd
never noticed it before.

With my accoustics I find the contruction of the guitar is what actually dictates the gauge of strings to put on them. A big dreadnought sound pretty dead if you don't have medium gauge strings on it. Most of my acoustics are are 00 or 000 and light gauge.

Actually I can't believe how nice these strings sound at about 1/3 of the price of what I was putting on. I can't wait till they get some light gauge mandolin strings in stock.

I gonna order some of their classicals and a couple sets of flat wounds soon and see how they sound.
