ninja-
thanks man. glad you checked it out...
whitestrat-
i'm glad this is motivating! that's cool.
way better than making someone vomit.
LOL
jeff-
you know, that 'riff', came about very organically..
i tried to come up with a simple little lick, that i could use when trying out guitars at various music stores..
whether it was acoustic, or electric, there was something about that little lick that will bring out all the good (and bad) in a guitar...
how it snaps in the low end...
how it handles open chords...
whether the top end has enough clarity to let that little country double-stop thing at the end of the riff happen...
and i played it for years- just that one riff.
but then, i slowed it down, found that swampy groove for it, then came up with the lyric idea (which is stolen from the label of the Bat's Brew Hot Sauce i eat).......
once i had that, it pretty much wrote itself.
onestu3-
thanks so much for checking it out.
the band is just me, it's my vehicle for writing original tunes at this point.
i hired a drummer for this session, working off of previous demos.
you know, i have my people call their people all the time, they always say 'we'll get back to you'.
heheh
(remember that old song "don't call us, we'll call you"?)
bulls......hit......
thanks man. glad you dig it.
