I was testing some new gear for my live guitar rig and tracked these tunes direct. No mic's... just a piezo/nylon string through a variety of processing. They're all solos - no multitracking. Just having some fun playing.

The Medley includes

1. Danza del Norte - Italian 19th Century
2. Bach Bouree in Em, done in swing style
3. Fingerpicking Blues in A
4. Celtic traditional - O'Carolan's Welcome
5. And I Love Her
6. I'm So Tired (I know... I went overboard with effects on this one)

Nice sound....and great playing Tim. This sounds fun. Man, the Blues in A is really cool. Can't say much more, as I really like this stuff. And a medley like this is cool, to have some different styles portrayed here. And I Love Her came off really well. I recognized it immediately. The effects are a bit over the top on the last one, but hey, fun, right? To me, it actually just sounds a bit more live, in a club or something. Cool.

Tim, most excellent.

Thanks for the listens Travis, Ed and Gorty.

Ed, the live club setting sound is kind of what I had in mind too. I thought these would actually sound interesting with some club or cafe background noise mixed in to give it a live feel.

Tim...I don't know how I missed this!!

Danza del Norte .....Love this one...gives the feel of sitting in a room with about 20 people in an intimate recital. I immediately wanted some wine to sip while listening. It seems to be a piece one could chat with a friend while listening too. Very enjoyable and easyflow.

Bach Bouree ......I can hear the snapping of fingers and picture dancers with a graceful sauntering walk-dance...kinda like they did in the West Side Story....may sound wierd getting this from Bach, but that is the imagery it instills in me. It has a jazzy kind of quality to it.

Fingerpicking Blues ....floating down a gentle river stream on a raft...watching the fisherman lazing on the riverbank with poles in water, while a dude (you) :D sits on a dock playing this....

Celtic traditional ....I really enjoyed this!! I love Celtic music. Has the magic of dreams and whismy...dancing in the woods....naked. It wasn't long enough, I barely got my clothes off!! :D

I'm So Tired .....Nice...I like the effects!! This is my favorite of all you recorded because of the effects and the change in tempo and style...it is a busy piece and I like busy!! It surely isn't tired!

The club effect is great!!! Although I am torn betwixt three of them.

And I Love Her....Oh yeah...one of my favorites of the Beatles tunes ever. Brings round a lot of memories.

I give her all my love
That’s all I do
And if you saw my love
You’d love her too
I love her

She gives me ev’rything
And tenderly
The kiss my lover brings
She brings to me
And I love her

A love like ours
Could never die
As long as i
Have you near me

Bright are the stars that shine
Dark is the sky
I know this love of mine
Will never die
And I love her

Bright are the stars that shine
Dark is the sky
I know this love of mine
Will never die
And I love her

This is VERY enjoyable and impressive Tim. I'm downloading this and keeping it :D Great stuff to sit back and relax to. Also, I'm an effects junky, so I thought that last part sounded cool too.

Thanks True for such a detailed response. Especially the naked part. Seriously, I appreciate the very detailed comments - makes it worthwhile.

Snake - Glad you liked it. Anyway, any friend of [slight tremble in the voice] Mon$ta-X is a friend of mine.

Thanks Rick. :)

True, I forgot to ask before... in posting the lyrics to And I Love Her, do you know them by heart? I still remember the first time I heard the Beatles' recording of it. Transported me then and many times after... the lyrics, the guitar parts, the percussion...
