MC012 w/Scott Dorsey Mod Question

I have one of these. It sounds abit on the warmer/darker side. Does anyone else have this mic? What are you finding is its tone character? Does anyone have a bright one?

Just stock ones. If you're accustomed to the sound of mics with hyped upper mid response, then these may sound slightly dark in comparison, which is really just them being neutral. If it sounds somewhere south of neutral though, plot a response curve.

I have a matched pair with the Oktavamod version of the modification. I love them, I don't know how to describe them without resorting to words that can also be used to describe colors, wine, coffee, etc. Very accurate sounding as you'd hope from SDC's but with very low noise, good headroom, etc. I think that the dark/warm sound you get from them is kind of indicative of the Oktava sound in general (other than the stock 219's/319's with the high frequencies resonator components).
I'm looking forward to getting some omni caps for mine .
