Hi everyone
Say hi to my first major issue since I've crossed over to Apple...LOL
I'm running an 1.8 Ghz Imac G5 running Tiger with Protools LE 6.8.something and an Mbox2.
At first, I couldn't get my mbox2 to do anything at all.
It got recognised by my mac, but that was about it.
So I went to a store and they told me "the original drivers shipped with the mbox2 don't work with Tiger, download new ones, and you might try to update your firmware, too.
So I flashed the firmware to the newest version. lights went on...good. Still, no sound or anything. Installed the newest audiocore drivers (from Macmusic)
SOUND!
Sound, shining lights..all good, right? Uhm..no.
Though other apps, like Live, would give me sound, ProTools still didn't recognise my MBox2.
Checked out the info file that came with the coreaudio driver...turns out it's intended for the orignal Mbox (among others), and the Mbox2 has it's OWN coreaudio driver.
BUT!!!
I can't seem to find it anywhere.
does any of this strike anyone as familiar? Does somebody have a solution?
Sick of the whole plug-n-pray thing going on with this...
Help me out!
thnx
