Sorry to bother you, but I'm haveing problems with the ad192 for my Presonus Eureka. I've been recording through the Eureka and then into my MBox via the XLR out with better than expected results, but no luck with the AD192. This is a great little preamp. It will take me some time to get the hang of it, but that's to be expected. The only thing negative I have to say about it is that it's makeing me feel a little old. I just turned 25 and up until now have always had 20/20 vision, but these dials are giving me a run for my money. I haven't done this much squinting since I lost a resister putting new noiseless pickups in my strat. At any rate back to the AD192. It's really a shame, I was sure that it was going to be the solution to my MBox woes. I've got my protools settings as follows:
CH 1-2 input source set to SPDIF.
Clock set to SPDIF
Session recording at 44.1
My Eureka is set at internal and 44.1
Am I missing something. From what I can tell inputs 1 and 2 should now be connected to SPIDF (the eureka) I've tried both 1 and 2 and I get nothing from either. Is there anything else I need to change? I still use the regular inputs right? No bus or ADAT. When I create the track I still use audio and samples correct? I can't figure this out for the life of me. Do you have any other thoughts? I'm useing monster cable SPIDF that works on my DVD player and receiver so I don't think the cable is the problem. What's a guy to do. I would appreciate any usefull feedback. If your only comment is that I shouldn't have bought a Presonus than please keep said oppinoins to yourself. I really like the Eureka, I just want to be able to use my digital card. The only menu that I've changed any setting in is the setups>hardware menu of protools. My only options are do you want spidf or internal and do you want spidf or analoge. I've selected spdif on both.
Does anyone have any thoughts
