Experts,

I have a Macbook with a 320gb ram upgrade. Brand new just got here yesterday, for my interface, I wanted to get the "Mbox 3 Pro" ($749 model). I just wanted to know some reviews on it. Very excited and I have heard the sound quality is amazing, but wanted to here some more reveiws.

Thanks

320 gb of ram?!?! I think you mean a 320gb hard drive. But in my opinion, the mbox is a little over priced. Other than that though, I haven't heard any thing bad about it. Congrats though, and welcome to the recording community!

Drew,

any suggestions of an interface with an affordable price, but great sound quality for a home studio? My biggest fear is buying something cheap that has bad sound quality. I am all about "spending alot to get great value and worth". but i am also about saving if I can find the most affordable and dependable. SO let me know bro! Thanks

drew,

i have a macbook, 4 gb and a 320 hdd space. will these two interfaces both be compatible with that system? also is the pro tools DAW compatible with these interfaces as well?

I do hip hop so all i want to do is my vocals over pre-made instrumentals uploaded into the DAW for recording

Yes they are both compatible with your mac. As for will they work with protools, yes. The new protools 9 LE software is not hardware dependent anymore, so you will be able to use any interface under the sun. If you are just tracking vocals though, I recommend this, Apogee Duet Firewire Interface - Find the largest selection and guaranteed lowest prices at Musician's Friend.. The only reason I dont own it is because I need more i/o. It has amazing a/d converters and pres'. Plus, its made specifically for mac, so its 100% compatible. Hope this helps.
