Hello there,
I'm using Mbox3 mini, that has 2 instruments inputs and 2 XLR input on the back.
I'm little confused by low preamp level using the XLR mic inputs.
So I plug my condenser mic. directly into the the XLR input.
Phantom power on.
The level of sound I get is very very low.
Then I bring the volume knob on the front all the way up, like up to 95%.
It then brings the sound level I was expecting. (sing or play at regular level, and get regular level output).
It's not mic's problem, i tried with diff. mic and same result.
Question1.
Is this normal ? - I actually get a reasonable sound out of it, so I guess i can just roll with it, but if I can't imagine, it's the best sound I'm getting out of the mic at volume 95%.
help please
Question2.
Will getting another preamp help?
so Mbox3---preamp---mic. Will phantom power be generated out to mic this way?
Eh.. i am a noob. but hey, this is what this place is for, right ? =)
Thanks!
