Wait.....you bought a Triple Rec and you're going to use a digital distortion on channel 3? Or is it an effect that you want to use on channel 3?

Are you wanting to apply the effect ONLY to channel 3?

Remember, the amp has a parallel fx loop. You'll need to adjust the wet/dry settings on your processor and the mix amount on the amp. Make sure it's set to LOOP ON on the back.

I'm not looking at the back of my Dual Rec right now but I know that I have my foot switch on and the loop on.

I turn my send on 50% and my return on 100%. (I think that's right). I have the G-Major, though. It's a recommended setting from TC Electronic for the Dual Rec.

I have it across all channels but I control what fx are on via a Ground Control Pro. It also controls my channel switching, which takes the Mesa BigFoot out of the equation.
