How ya doin?

I must say, I quite enjoyed this.
I think I liked the lead guit section the best.
The vocals were solid and seemed to sit well in the mix.
Coming up to second lead now....
thats a good way to outro the song.
I think this is the first song I,ve heard in my short time here.
I say, Well Done Beelz
:D

Mostly sound good to me. That low end has gotta be tamed though. It's pretty overpowering. Aside from that I don't hear any obvious problems.

I hear a little buzzing here and there - maybe amp noise?

Nice solo. I could stand to have the lead tone a little less "muffled" sounding - give it a little more bite. It's a tad dark.

I think I'd like to hear the vox up like a half a db. But I might change my mind on that once the bass gets tamed.

Cool wah stuff.:)

beezelbubba,

I loved it!

The bass sounds fine to me. Reggae should have a deep, low prominent growl to it and you captured that perfectly.

The guitar work was stellar! 5 stars for sure!

The piano sounded kinna cheesy. Maybe switch that out for a more traditional electric piano sound or organ and that would help out the authenticity of the genre.

Vocal wise, I liked what you did but, for some bizarre reason I am hearing a screaming, acid rock type vocal in my head for this to support the lead guitar work. My 2 cents.

Iree, Mon!

Thanx to all for the listen!
Groucho:Low end may be a bit much,I can't tell so well on my horrid speakers.I'll have to check it out on more different systems.
The buzzing is probably due to the fact that my house was wired back in Edisons day!
Ghost of FM:The piano's very cheesy.$99 Yamaha at my local wholesale club!:D Thats o.k.!Ya do what ya can!

Hey Beeze,
How goes it man? :D

I wanted to turn this one up but, it's Sunday morning in Lowell and everyone is still sleeping.....or hungover :D

Bass sounds good on my KRKs but, everybody tells me that my bass parts are too hot so...take that with a grain of salt...

Dude................
the guitar is killer...very tasty and hot chops...good fuzz tone too...damn...................... :D

The vox needs to come up in the mix man...it is very difficult to understand the lyric...

I got me one of them there cheesy Yamaha keyboards too man....
and yeah...you do what you can but, you could add some verb after tracking...what is your signal chain and recording platform?

Hey man,
Say hey howdy hey to Daddy Beezy for me ...will ya? :D

Take it easy man,
Joe

This is cool. Beeza!

Right off the bat it sounded like Pink Floyd Reggae, with Ian Anderson doing the vocals.

That is cool.

The Wah-Wah sounds excellent....Vocals sit nice and clear in the mix...Methinks an excellent drum programming job. Played as a reggae drummer would kick it. Cymbal crashes in all the right places. (Us drummers could go on & on, but I'll regress...)

I agree that that bass has the right low, round sound to it.

And thank you for not singing in a fake Jamacian accent.

Guitar solo was too short, but excellent as usual.

I may be the only one to tell you this, but..The keyboards didn't bother me a bit.

Wunnerful effort, I dug it.

If I heard this on the Radio I Don't think I could tell it was done at home. I think it's a good mix.

Oh man...just got to the second lead....Outro.....Great Job....

No suggestions from me....I liked it

Probably good for track 3 on the CD

Love the little instrumental breaks. Nice leads too. Well thought out arrangement and solid job on this.
I'll agree with groucho that the bass is a little much. I'm listening on M-Audio SP-5B which don't convey a lot of bass usually. I think I'm hearing buzz on the bass that might have been brought out by limiting.
The voice also got a little warbley here and there. Especially in the verse that started around 3:00.

All in all great sound - great playing.

Ooh, let's lite up a fatty

Generally very good. A little crackle here and there, Low end a little off?? Guitars are cool, I think the organ and vocals could come up just a bit.

I thought this thread had plum fizzled out.Thanx to all for listening and commenting/suggesting!
joro:I know what you mean about the keys, but you can only polish a turd so much(or so I hear).I'll say howdy to the old man for ya!
dtb:You're smokin' to many spliefs mon, don' change a thin!
V.I.Great minds think alike,it would have been horrid if I tried to sing it like Peter Tosh.
Dusty Jack:You're too kind, but I like the way you think;)
fprod:You're right about the vox being a little shakey.I probably ought to do them over(or patch up the rough spots)but I'm sick of working on this song, and need to do some speedmetal!
sloop:I'll watch out for the cackles,I think every cable I own needs soldering, though they may be caused by careless edits,I dunno.

Beeze..

Cool ass groovy tune mon! Just listening on pc speakers... the mix sounds excellent. In fact the bass is right out front which may indicate that it's too loud on other systems, but I can't say for sure.

I concur in the Floydness of the vibe.. I also don't hear a problem with the keys.

Definately keeping this one on file.. Great job!

Nice reggae vibe here. Listened to this on my way to work in my car, and also on headphones. I like the song, but the recording itself sounds like it needs a bit of eq. The bass is a bit overpowering the entire mix.

I dig your vocals on this and I like the arrangement you have going.

Other than the eq issues, I really like this!

:D
