Recording Modus Operandi
I have two Fender 1275XPs which are 15" two-way, 400W peak / 200W program @ 16 ohms floor monitors. I also have an old Peavey 260H monitor 400 watt amplifier which surrounding the speaker outputs it says 130 watts @ 4 ohms. The amp runs with 120V@ 5 amps and there are no switches or options for changing the output. Will running these together overload the amp or is it right in the ballpark?

The two 16 ohm monitors running in parrallel will represent an 8 ohm load to the amp, which is about its design load. It can run safely down to 4 ohms.

Thanks Track Rat. We had rehearsal last night and the sound was awesome with monitors. We had been playing up till then without monitors and this was 110% difference, it's like we found the zone :)
