mastering Tascam2488 problem

hi, i have the tascam2488 (not the new or neo) and i recorded a lot of tracks. But with one track i have a problem mastering it. when i i put on the compressor (with treshold,...) and sitch it to On there is nothing working or anything is louder. i dont know why. i also tried the postgain up to 15 but no result. with the other tracks it's no problem. Please help me

Mmmmm...Ive allways used outboard compression and effects...perhaps if you tried an outboard compressor you would get results.

I kinda hope my new neo stays perfect...but I kinda like the real thing over the virtual stuff...I have 2 dbx160 and a fostex 3070 compressor.
