This song was quickly put together to see if i could get anywhere near the sound of the original. I think it turned out well, but that damn 2nd solo is too fast for me. The drums and rythym guitars were all done in one take...hence there are a few flubs...and the additional guitars were overdubbed. I sampled the Master, Master part from the album, right before the mellow interlude. I hope Metallica doesn't sue me...heheheheh
Also if any one can play that second solo and would like to add it i am looking for someone with flying fingers!!!! Thanks

first, kudo's!!! for even attempting it!!!:D the git's sound good, nice tone on the lead!!!! you said there were flubs, i won't disagree with you;) drums are M.I.A.!!!! one of the overdubbed(or doubled) gits is to far behind, sound's real sloppy. i'm usually a real easy going guy, but you picked one of my fav's to cover!!! so if i'm sounding harsh, ignore me:D tighten it up, and repost it!!!! i mean shit man!!! it's M.O.P.!!!!!!

ALL RANTING ASIDE!!......i couldn't do it!!:D

Yeah, we will probably go back and redo the guitars for sure, and some of the drum bits are a little off. And i will give a shot at the vocals although i am shure it won't do James' voice Justice...but what the hell. Thanks for listening...i probably won't repost it for a little bit...M.I.A....what did you mean by that? I'm lost later

the drums a buried behind the git's. if you listen at a real low volume they stand out, pump it up some and they go M.I.A.
and i like to pump my METALLICA!!!!:D just bring them up in the remix, that's all:D hell yeah!!! try the vox, don't worry about doing james justice, do it your way!!!

I agree with fenderpickindood.. a valiant effort indeed..

depending on how critical you are,the timing issues are too much to go on unfixed.. this is a song I love, and it's great hearing it.. I couldn't do better, but this is pretty hammered in a few spots..

it's surprising because listening to how good the recording can be, it's a wonder that all these mistakes were let through..

as I said though, I probably couldn't do better..
 
so which one is Master?
Or do I have to DL both of these songs?

It's a coincidence really... I did the same song just a few days ago. I'm not releasing it until I get somebody to sing it, though (I don't have the range)... well, maybe I won't release it if yours turns out to be better :D

I ran out of room at Nowhereradio.com, so i deleted the first version. I am gonna redo it and repost it. This next version will be tighter , and have vocals. Sorry...it'll be back. Can't wait to check out the other M.O.P. cover.
 
I really like "a drug called hate".. I think it's the second best song I ever heard on this board, only Blatchford by ametth beats it.
