Massive popping from s/pdif

Hey,
I have a Delta 1010 card and am running a computer subwoofer on my s/pdif output. It plays fine and all, but when I open different files and things like that it makes these awful popping sounds. Has anyone had this problem? If so, maybe you can help me. Thanks.
 
Well man, I don't have your exact hardware config, but I had a similar problem. In my case, it was interference.

At first I started with placement of the computer in the room, and then played with the placement of the amplifier. In the end though, moving the sound card (to the bottom PCI slot) and replacing a couple of cables (with shielded cables) did the trick. Also, you want to check your internal audio cable (if you have one), and make sure it is not hanging close to any system fans or anything of the like.
