Recovering Gear-aholic
I will load pics in a minute (i always have trouble with this) but just went to an estate sale in Dallas I saw on C-List. UNBELIEVEABLE!!! Dozens of mixers, 4. 8, 16 track reel machines, processing gear, racks, speakers, mics, stand, tape, vcrs...the whole friggin house is packed. There is stuff everywhere...in the closets/ kitchen, even stacked in the shower stalls.

This guy (deceased) has stuff Ive only ever read about. I am posting this in a hurry since I want to get the word out

9235 Club Glen in North dallas. There is a partial list of stuff on C-List.

Now pics. I am not good at this so there may be a few posts

And believe me, this is nothing!!!!!!
We are all amateur gear sluts. This guys was the KING

Wow...related to A Reel Person?

Sorry, Dave...that was said in brotherly love. :D

Wow...the fella definitely had a hankerin' for Teac/Tascam gear. The 24-track...that's an Otari MTR-90?

Looks like the prices aren't giveaway though huh?

Neat. Thanks for putting it up.

Never seen anything like that before, well, almost! ;)

Gotta be honest that when I first looked at these and then you mention that the guy was "deceased" and left all of this, to now be sold, I got this sickly feeling that I really don't wanna end up like that guy. Kinda gives perspective to what's important and what's not. Pretty scary, is what I'm left with, rather than admiration or... that "I gotta have that".:spank::(

Just opened up the morning and runs all weekend. I expect i will be going back na few times to see the discounts. I want that M-520 and a pair of the Klipsch speakers..
I DID buy a lifetime supply of eight packs of Maxell type II cassettes. a buck for each sealed eight pack. Had to make two trips to the car :)

Come to think of it, I did not see any reel tape except the stuff on the machines...hmmm. headed back.....

Any XLR snakes?

Pretty scary, is what I'm left with, rather than admiration or... that "I gotta have that".

ooooo...wow. :o:(

I was not kidding about the shower....,

Probably a s***load of snakes and cables.....I did not dig real deep..I was too lightheaded.

I saw that listing and emailed the "sale" email address to see if I could get a response in regards to the M520. That is one MONSTER sale going on at that place though!

Wow.

Whoever dies with the most toys...

...isn't around to play with them any more.

Looks like the prices aren't giveaway though huh?

Unfortunately, it is probably one of those estate sales companies and uses Ebay as a "rule of thumb" for pricing this stuff.
