Thank you sir. The ones in the shock mounts are AT4033's and the one tight on the amp is a Senheiser MD-441.

So, which one of those would be best for Rap vocals?

:p

Any mic that you can mic a manual transmission out of a 55 Chevy pickup truck would be completely suitable for rap vocals. Maybe more so. :D

Okay okay lets contain the passionate rappers that no doubt dwell deep within us all, passionate rappers with a love for beautifully manufactured high-end condenser mics....more about the martins! I love the way so many users have an interest in them, I cant get enough of mine these days.

Best sounding acoustic guitars I have ever recorded have always been Martin.

Great instrument..

Hey man I worked a crappy job for this...Although i suppose it may bother someone that my first aocustic is a Martin and im still a teenager.

It makes you appreciate it all the more when you work a crappy job to save for a Martin. My first Martin I got when I was 19 and like you, I worked pretty much all summer unloading trucks working overnight 3rd shift! The martin was in layaway.

You can bet that I appreciated it when I finally saved enough to go buy it!

I'm now the proud owner of a D-35, my 3rd Martin, (had a D1-R, D-28, and now D-35). They all sounded awesome.

I have a 2001 D35, great sounding guitar! I play it almost daily and it is a blast to play.

Last night I had a band in to track some tunes. The guitar player pulls out an Ovation to do an acoustic number, walks into the studio and sees my Taylor GA-XXV on a stand and starts looking all dreamy. "Can I use that instead of my Ovation?" he asks. I tell him the strings probably need changing and asked if if he wouldn't mind doing it on my '74 D-41. I pulled it out of the case and handed it to him and I swear, I think he had an orgasm.

You should probably clean down the fretboard...... :) I like Taylors alot too... so many guitars, so little time!

way to go man, hope youve no plans for the rest of the week!

I do... they mainly involve calling in sick to work with bleeding fingers :)

Okay. Update. Lovely guitar. It even *smells* fantastic.
Anyway I am now checking local marriage laws on marrying non human entities.

It certainly has a personality anyway.. :p

You see, we were warned that this would happen if gay marriage was allowed...

I have to agree the smell rocks! I smell the case alot. Changed strings for the first time today; man, what a sound! Go Martin!

Martin JM

Does anyone know anything about this model (Jumbo Mahogany)? I bought one for $300.00. I like it. It plays nice & sounds nice but I can't find any info on it. What it the retail price? I couldn't find it on Martin's website. Anyone?
