I have the v67 and i know a guy who's willing to trade his B1 for my v67. I was wondering if they are both about the same and theres no real point of trading or is one actually noticeably better than the other. I only need it for male vocals with a mid voice fairly high i guess.

K,
I have a V67g and a B-3 (not the B-1). But I can tell you they are very different.
the v67 has more edge to it and is good for bringing stuff forward in the mix. The B3 is more neutral and works well for a fairly natural sound (think acoustic guitar).

If the sound source is tonally soft the V67 would be my choice. If the sound source needs to blend, I'd choose the B-3.

If the voices you record are allready edgy and prone to sibelance, the B1 may be a good choice, other wise I think I'd stick with th V67.

My opinion obviously.

thanks for the advice i think ill stick with my v67 but everyone give your opinion im just wondering how the mics battle it out just outta curiousity

well i have the 67g and i love it but i dont use it on my voice. the fact is that i hate my voice. i use the behringer b-1 on my voice and i sound better than with the 67g which picks up alot more of everything i hate about my voice lol. i'm kinda interested in what the sp b1 would do with my voice

I'd keep the MXL V67.

Different strokes for different folks. Listen to them both and decide what you like better. They are different and are best employed for different applications.
