I just may have an opportunity to perform on one of the local tv stations on a coming up weekend . . . if this "happens" . . . any one got any tips on how to maixmize the "success" of this oportunity?
 
This is of little help, but when I first read your post the first thing that popped into my mind was to take big dump before you go on. I have no idea why I thought that, but it can't be bad advice.

tattoo your website address on your chest, and at the end of your performance, rip off your shirt hulk-hogan-style so everyone can see it. the crowd will go crazy every time.

Just remember... that's a camera pointed at you, not a gun, in other words just relax and knock 'em over with your performance. Congrats and good luck.
 
gully, in the past month or two we've gone on the CBS out of roanoke and the ABC in lynchburg... make sure you rehearse exactly what you're going to do when you perform and have it ingrained in your head... then just relax and be as nice as possible... write down some key points you want to get across during the interview (assuming they do that)... like your web site, your influences (not really your influences, just people you sound like), and then what makes you stand out.

I Know They Are Apprehensive . . . Just Like One Store That Had Agreed To Sell My Cd N Display A Flyer . . . As Soon As Some Old Fogies Came By, They Complained To High Heaven Wit The Manager And He Pulled Em!!!
