Many Free Effects (Plugins)

Accidently found this link. Someone put together a very comprehensive list of all the free effects out there. Thought those new to home recording could use some free software. I would stick to the freebies offered by companies whom are trying to "entice" the public to purchase some of there more comprehensive software, that way you can be sure the integrity of your tracks is preserved.

ProTools on Mac or PC?

You cannot use PC VSTs on a Mac, or vice versa. The VST on a PC is a .dll file type. I have no idea what it is on Mac, but Macs can't use .dll file types.

So, Mac users are REALLY LIMITED on VSTs, because many VSTs don't have a Mac version.

Silly Mac users! ;)
 
If you want freebies, all you have to do is go into the search page of kvraudio.com and there you can specify "commercial or free".

You'll get an >up-to-date< list....
