I like the tune and the delivery, but I'd experiment with putting more space around the vocal.

Also, it's a bit disorienting when the vocal sort of disappears for a while the first time you sing 'like a pendulum'. Automation!
 
Did McCartney leave this off of "RAM"?

This is a prime example of how to do exactly this. It's extremely perfect for what it is - and I am serious.

Not Ram - The First solo Album - and it’s when he came home toasted to the gills - but lucky he had Norman Lewisohn to engineer - but sadly he was going deaf very quickly.

I like the chord changes. I agree with what’s been said, rein in the wide variation in vocal volume with automation and compression.

Other than that, let it ride. No need to polish something this crazy!
 
The song had a nice charm.

The only mix comment I'd have is that the vocal is dryer than the instrument tracks. It's pretty far up front too. At 1:47 it sounds like you moved closer to the mic. Little pop at 2:00.
