Hi. Has any one had any experience with Mann mic's. They are around $400 each Australian. www.mannelectronics.com/products/m11.html
They are British I think. I'm looking for a matched pair. I've looked at ridiculously cheap Beringers to these Mann's Mii

Beringher C2 $100
Studio Proj. C4 $500
Rode NT 5 $600
Mann Mii $800

Cheers

OK, how do I say this................

Mann are just another range of Chinese mics that's been available for a few years. Note their German sounding name and the similarity of their logo to a well known mic manufacturer, compare their mics to any number of Chinese mics and again note the similarities. The people behind them are Aust., based and the testimonials on their site are barely worth the space they take up on your monitor..............don't ask, but accept that I've been "acquainted" with both the source of them and the person who solicited them. I find it absolutely ludicrous that they're asking $400 per mic  .......but then again, maybe they were used car salesmen in a previous life.

If you're seriously considering spending that kind of money, I would suggest you look at the new series of Studio Projects C4, I don't know if the new series are in Aust., yet so do your homework. Alternatively, look at Oktava MC-012 (or MK-012) mics .........contact Warhead here at HR (Warren at Front End Audio in the US)......NOT to be confused with FEA in Adelaide.

You nailed it. That mic is available from China for less than a note in the key of C ! I too will second the MC/MK-012. They're great out of the box, but with the S.D. mod, they're Amazing !
I might add, that I have heard ALL good reports about Front End/War

Many thanks. I presumed they were british -> hence the price. I have a pair of SP C3 mics I've allways been impressed with. I guess I'll be pursuing the SP C4's
Thanks
