Very nice vocals on this. I also liked the mandolin and the guitar playing. It kind of sounds like it could use some kind of percussion. Maybe not full blown drums, but something.

On my machine the mids sounded real prominent. It sounds like it may use a little more on the high end to balance it out -- imhop -

The song is well written. Nice job! :)
 
To further confuse things...

Umm...that sounds like me.

Little explanation is in order. Jamal (who is most certainly NOT me) wrote the verses and asked me to listen. I listened, and I wrote the chorus. Jamal recorded it and posted it and told me the whole thing sucked, but especially the chorus (i.e., "my" part). I re-recorded the whole thing Saturday, and Jamal posted it.

Hey, cool collab you guys. i never heard where it started, just where it finished. I liked the song and the idea. Especially liked the "rewind and erase" line! Would have liked some drums and stuff, but it works like it is.

I like this a lot, really soulful and well played.

The recording aspect leaves a little to be desired, there's a whole bunch of high-end noise going on, distracting during the softer parts. May need to hard-eq the 14-15k+ frequencies to save this one unless you can go back and find which track is causing it...

Rhythm guitars a bit far back, mandolin sounds nice in the back, lead is just right IMO. :)

Pinky - Quick question (and this is my fault), but do you know which one you listened to? In other words, did you listen to the one on Jamal's page, or did you hit the honestmango link in my earlier post? It shouldn't be too tough for me to track down the hiss...there aren't that many tracks. I recorded the rhythm and vocal at the same time...one mic, which might explain the distant rhythm git sound, but no matter how hard I tried, I could not sing this song to a pre-recorded guitar track. Some songs are just like that, I guess.

Mixmkr - I hate cats. I have 2 of them, but they COWER IN FEAR of my dog. :D -Guess you didn't listen, or if you did, you're sparing my feelings. Either way, dogs definitely rule.
