Man I hope this isn't considered screamo...

First mix. Lose the kick a bit, but there's not much I can do about at this point.

Anyways, any comments would be appreciated as usual.

Thanks for listening.

p.s. I say "fucking" a lot, I'm not sure why. So if that's offensive to you, or you have little kids around, just a heads up. It's not horribly obvious but it's there.

Not screamo. Sucko, maybe. :D

It's not really my thing, so I don't know what to say about it. Drums are too poofy. They need some muscle. Bass is not well defined. Vocal is sibilant ("th" and "s" sounds are harsh). Performances seem decent, otherwise.

I am not hearing much kick in the passages. Some interesting things going on guitarwise.

Sort of silly song...close your eyes you rebel you.
Hehe, sorry, it's not funny...hehehe. ;)

Pro Tools / Mbox on a Powerbook G4.
Guitars and bass all recorded direct, using Amplitube for the sound.
Drums are DFH2 (I should have gotten superior for more control :()
Vox all recorded with an Oktava MK5 or something. I'm too poor to buy a real mic right now :(
I've got a pair of MK1 monitors.

yipes, sounds like some scary combination of screamo and southern rock; sound quality, meh, sounds decent, it needs some kick, some powa', though.

I like the song. Needs to clean up the lyrics a bit. Seems a bit pitchy. The drums are a bit loose. I would just devote more time to get it right.

I like it. But I agree with the comments above. More kick, more bass. Sounds thin. Keep going!

Thanks for the comments guys.

I'm not sure what you mean about it being pitchy though. Can you explain?

Ha, I know what this is -- I do it all the time!!! :D

It's when the vocal or other note fades in and out of tune. In other words, the pitch changes. Caused by a lack of control and/or proper tuning.

Not bad - the song has potential but not really into the vocals as they are. Cool stuff.

Potential but....
I think the key element needed to improve it is timing. If it was tight, it would already sound a lot better. Fix it with playing ... or editing.
There is a severe lack of tight low-end (I mean severe lack of BOTH tight & low!). Getting that better would also emphasize the difference between the verse and chorus.
Experiment with a little more verb on the vocal in the "soft" bits, the vocal seems to poke straight through in those bits, in to much contrast to the "hard" bits.
As far as what kind of music? Not screamo - its fucko!!
