Is there a such thing that can make my already recorded guitar tracks that are 16 bit, 32 bit?

Yeah, you just convert the track in Edit View: click Edit>Convert Sample Type and select 32-bit.

It won't add any bitdepth to your track, but it'll add room for clean math to be done if you process the track in any way.

And that is only if you do the processing directly to the track. If you just insert the plugins on the channels, it will do absolutley no good.

Hm? Jay - care to elaborate? You mean live time plugs on tracks in Multitrack aren't affected by the extended bitdepth? What about when you do the final mixdown?

The real time plugins inserted on the channels are processing at 32 bit. Since it happens live, you don't need to store the audio at 32 bit.

All of the processing is done at 32 bit, no matter what bit depth the audio was stored at.

The only reason it makes a difference when you are recording through a plugin is because the plugin is between converter and the hard drive.
