Making My Own Studio, I NEED HELP

I'm about to make my own studio in my basement...and i need some help with, what kind of insulation to purchase. So for those who know anything about this, HELP/

Or, can i go at it another way instead of breakin my walls, puttin up insulation, blahblahblah, or is there an easier way to get that studio feelin...is there somethin else i can purchase where i wouldn't need to do damage to the walls besides for wack ass foam, cause that shit is weak... oh and thanks for the help


oh and I need a new mic, so If anyone want to buy mine ( at3035 )...HOLLA

What kind of music and instrumentation will you be recording? Unless you are recording a full band live, it seems like it might be cheaper to build an isolation booth out of plywood 4x8' sheets, 2x4's and that insulation you were talking about (although I'm sure if you search, you'll find plenty of advice on building iso booths). Might involve some extra work, and I'm not sure, but I'd imagine tearing out your walls, insulating, and putting up new wall panelling is gonna be quite costly.
