I'm almost done creating my own EP. Before I put the finishing touches I have some questions:

1) If I'm going to print and duplicate about 100 copies of my CD,
what is the cheapest approach. Also, how do I find a template
to use to create my CD on Photoshop.

2) Does anybody want to play violin, cello, accordian or
piano/organ on my CD? If so I can send you the file and you
can record your track with it, then send it back to me and I'll
insert it into the final mix. I'll even give you an album credit in
the liner notes.

3) Does anyone know of a reasonably priced photographer in the
Chicago area?

4) How much does it cost to create my own website?

If any of you have answers, please let me know. Thanks!

The cheapest approach is not the best approach and will most likely turn out the worst. What I mean basically is if you don't want to invest any money or time, which as you grow older you'll find that time is money or vice versa, then your project will come out like crap. However, in terms of straight cash the cheapest way to do it is to do it yourself. That's what us homerecorders are doing but the trade off is investing your time to learn how to do this. If you want a quick professionally sounding CD then you're better off initially to have a pro mix and master it for you. Then you can buy a cheap CD burner and burn away. You can usually create your own templates with the software that comes with your burner.

You should post this question in the MP3 mixing clinic at https://homerecording.com/bbs/forumdisplay.php?forumid=15

If you want to save money, photography is another great at home hobby but again you get what you pay for.

4) How much does it cost to create my own website?
This all depends too! If you took a little time and learned how to code in html (hyper text machine language) then a website wouldn't cost you anything because almost every ISP gives you some web space to post a website. However, if you want a secured site with your own domain name and the ability to sell products and accept credit card transactions then you need to pay someone that knows how to set this up and it's going to run into some money.
The bottom line is don't take on too much at a time stay focused and most importantly, welcome to the board!

Dude, give it up.

You're never going to live out that rock star dream of yours, so put your hairnet back on, and get flippin' those burgers, pal.

Axyl Rose you are not, my friend.

And while you're at it, get a freakin' hair cut.

As far as the website the best thing to do would be to go to www.hostsearch.com and look for a host that meets your needs (and price range) and if you decide that you want a domain name the cheapest place that i have found them is www.godaddy.com. Their registration fee is only $8.95 compared to most others that charge over $10. At host search you can find a free webhost or one that costs a couple of dollars a month that wont put a advertisement on your page.

If you took a little time and learned how to code in html (hyper text machine language)...

That's hypertext markup language...
