maintaining constant voltage

My Furman PL Plus Power Conditioner keeps indicating that the voltage out of the mains is over 120 and even reaching into the red (danger) zone.

I'm aware of voltage regulators, but it seems the least expensive one I've seen was about $400. Can anyone suggest something a lot less than that (preferably under U.S. $100) that will simply keep the voltage at an acceptable level? (Right now, I'm willing to forgo all the frills like spike, surge, sag, etc protection....I just want to keep the voltage from frying my gear.)

Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated!

Two questions.
How high does it say it's getting? (What's Red?) And can you use a second meter to cross check against the Furman?
Sometime power companies try to anticipate the load on their grid by boosting a little. Typically, +/- 10% is ok. (Going from memory here... ) I see 125 often, 128, maybe more at times.

The Furman's LED indicators are marked from an absolute low of 90 volts up to 120 volts. There are four LEDs above the 120 LED, two amber and two red....a total of 20 LEDs. The unit is peaking at the first of the two red LEDs above 120.

Seems to be getting awfully close to that last LED...any need for concern?

Oops...
Are you on US 110/120 60hz or 100/50hz?
Sorry, I have no idea what voltage that light comes on at.

I have one compressor that says '100-140 vac, 50/60 hz.
My Pearce head says 115 +/- 15%, 50/60hz.
Can you get the info from furman?

I assume I'm on US 110/120 60hz as I'm in Minnesota. Could it be something different? I'll try contacting Furman.....thanks for your help.

You are on 110/120 60Hz. Get a multi meter, and check what the wall is actually puting out. If you are not going into the red, you are probably OK. A surge should trip the breaker.

Light,

I'm new to the cities and I'd like to find a studio that might be o.k. with me hanging around, watching, helping out in whatever little ways I could. I know there are a ton of studios in the area. Can you recommend any to talk with? Anything in the downtown Minneapolis area would be particularly cool!

Thanks.
