Is anyone familiar with MAGIX Music Studio...? I have questions, but I'll wait to post until I see if anyone has even heard of this software...thanks in advance for any responses?
I have been using Magix for about 3 years. I first bought Magix Studio Generation 5. I got a good deal in December 2001 on Magix Studio Generation 6. I don't use it anymore, since I use Sonar. If interested, I will sell it to you with the box and manual for $10, plus shipping.
Magix Studio Generation 6 is really Emagic's Logic AV. Magix licensed Logic AV and put their name on it. The program has some great effects and soft synths built in. You can record digital audio and midi, like the big boys.
The only thing I don't like about the Magix are the loops included have a catch. Magix seems to make their money off selling loops. If you use their loops, you have to give Magix credit on any music CD released created with Magix's loops, unless if you buy the delux version of Magix for about $200, then you don't have to give them credit.
Magix/Emagic is also the distributor for Samplitude Master also called RedRoaster.
I've been using Samplitude Master for mastering and CD burning for the past 2-3 years with great results. When i say great results I mean as best as could be expected given my ability in mastering.
I think i'm getting results that are better than semi-pro, but not quite professional with the Samplitude Master.
