Big surprise I'm having issues with Magix Audio Studio (the one in Music Studio Deluxe 2004) But I digress, I'm new here and have a dumn question. I record my first track fine. It's properly leveled and everything. It's a feed off my keyboard's line out inot my mixing board and on to my Audigy's line in. The problem I am having is recording the second track. For some reason it records the first track into the second while recordign the second. Ok, that was vague... I have a clean shiny track one, (the drums from the keyboard) and my recorded track two is my guitar AND the drums... not just the guitar. This makes adjusting the levels sort of difficult as you can imagine. How do I get Magix to stop re-recording the first track into the second one? I still need to be able to hear the first track while i'm recording the guitars however. (There are some fills and changes I need to be able to hear. I'm sure it's a simple setting I'm over-looking. Thanks

Look in the record mixer for the Audigy. It sounds like you're recording from "What U Hear" which is the stereo output mix. Change to Line in. To hear the input while recoding over the Audigy outputs, have Line-in turned up in the Playback mixer.

Yes!!!

OMG I can do it now.... TYTYTYTYTYTY

Never had a sound card this nice before. It's not the best for recording but it works for me... I can finally record music !!! Yay!!!

Thanks a million.
