I like where your vocal is mixed. It is certainly leading, and it is drier than normal, I really, really like to hear your unique and sincere vocal.
I like the way you are using this string pad. These little bells at 1:28 are neat ...
Again, I could hear some oriental ... modal violin ... motifs, some minimalist use of the single violin voice, very sparse.
This is very true to your style and further defines you.
At 3:06, this bass vocal that backups, reminds me of a buhdist chanting ... the oooooaaaahhhuuuummmmm ... very nice and perhaps you should throw a lot of reverb on that, it's certainly mixed very well.
Overall, I think your performing and mixing of vocals has improved tremendously, and it was really cool to start with, it's taking on polish now. Now, that IMHO, because you know how I like to have vocals mixed ...
After a third listen and reviewing the thread, I agree the bells step on the vocal, perhaps work the envelope so they are only louder when the vocal is stronger ...
I agree about seperating the strings into more parts, cellos first, then add violas, then finally the whole string section, maybe even paring it down as the song finishes, where we finally only hear the cellos like in the beginning, or the obverse, we only hear violins, mixed very softly to finish ...
cooool .... tuuuunnnneeeee
I'm going to float away now ...
