RAMI

Hey, I started another thread with this tune, but got so much advice that I put to use...I left too many dead links in the other thread...

So, this is pretty much a new tune called MADMAN and ME

Pretty cool Rami...love the punch in your drums. Excellent vocals.....they came out really good on this one. Mixed very well. The overall sounds seem to sit well together, and have plenty of space. I don't hear anything that stands out as not belonging, or that would make me like the tune better. This one seems well done from start to finish for me.....maybe someone else will have something that helps, but I like what I hear in it.

Excellent song RAMI - songwriting continues to be top notch. :)

Everything sounds great. Your snare sounds tight but not too "bright" the processing on that seems to be just right (verb/comp). Harmonies sound as precise as can be - cool... Sweet lead, just the right amount of sustain and no buzz... Mix doesn't need anything I can hear.... :D

another great tune Rami!!!! Do you play all the instruments? How long have you been doing this?

Thanx alot guys...I let it sit for a day before listening again. And with the excetption of one word in the chorus, I agree I think it's finished...............for now. :D

New2Mix. Thank you. I do write, play, and sing everything myself. It's hard to say how long I've been doing it for because over the years I had 4-tracks, 8-tracks and I tried recording on and off. I guess I would have to say I've been REALLY writing and recording for abour 6 years or so.

I love the song....

I think the bass drum needs to kick a lil bit more during the vocal passages, and in some other sections... there's just a bit of a visceral bottom end missing to propel these parts... but oh my this is a great song, wonderfully recorded.

Thanx alot for the listen and comments, cwpr (wanna buy a vowel??? :D )

I've only listened to this on my system so far. So, when I put it into my car and a few other systems, I'll pay attention to the kik and see if I hear what you're saying. It's nice to be told to turn up the drums once in a while. :D

Hey Ramdude, sounds excellent! Been out of recording for a bit so it's hard to nitpick this, everything sounds great on my system but one word in the chorus :p
Cool effects on the vox on the bridge too, lyrics are still understandable there too.
Solo sounds good, pretty thick guitar sound there from what I remember.
The only minor crit I can think of is just a preference thing... that the final chorus sounds exactly like the other choruses, no build or change in there guitar or voxwise. But that's just something I think sounds cool...
Cheers to a fine job and fine recording! ;):D

Damn it, between you and GregL, I feel like a wannabe hack at this recording thing.

Nice job!

I hate you!

:D :D :D :D :D :D

Ill check it out after I get HUlk up for work. I am rite under our room and dont wanna blast the speakers.:)

Hey Snaker!!! Long time no speak. Nice to see you around.

Thanx for the comments. You're absolutely right about the last chorus. I always try to build or add something to the last chorus, especially if it's the third one like in this tune.

This is one tune where I just couldn't find a way to vary that last one. I was going to add a lead playing under it. But I find that a little to predictable and not imaginative enough. The way the vocals are arranged made it impossible to change them or put a lead vocal doing something different on top of them.
You're right, though, I have to do something there.

Thanx buddy. Your input is always helpful, man.

Damn son, this is fly. I don't even like this type of music but you got me bobbin my head. Very good mixing too. Vocals aren't being drowned...wait I just got to a minute in the song and that guy is being drowned. But so far so good man. Songs long as hell but I'm rockin out so I don't really care.
All in all, I'd bump this in my car.

Really dig the pitch shifting type effect on the vocals around 1:10.....really cool lyrics. As usual playing/composition is top notch...I too, would dig a bit more low end thump from the kick.Cool tone on the guitar solo - fuzzy :). Great song Rami, enjoyed it.

RAMI...you ROCK! It's a difficult thing to make an almost 5 minute song not be boring and you pulled it off. Kudos to your arranging skills also. You're one talented mofo and I'm jealous as hell. I'm with Rokket...I think I hate you!:p

Anyway, can't wait for the next RAMI cd. Your first one is great but your songwriting is either getting better or your starting to grow on me (not like as fungus). This is a very cool song. Great job!:D

Man, this is top notch all the way around. Love the guitars.... Kick ass drum sound and the vocals are very good. Nice layering. The bass is sitting just about perfect on my monitors at a fairly loud volume.

Hehe.....I hate Greg, too!!! :D :D :D:D

Yeah me too! :D

Cool song RAMI. I don't think I caught this before.

Everyone always comments on your drums and bass and stuff. They're great indeed. But really I think I'm consistently most impressed with your vocals. Your harmonies are always clear and right on. Your vocals are never too loud or too quiet and they're always intelligible and have just the right amount of effect added. The rest of your music is pretty good too. ;)

I really appreciate that. It means more since it's not your type of music. Thanx alot.

Thanx, buddy. I'll work on the kik since you're not the only one to mention it. Kik, it must. :)

Hehe....Thanx Rick. It's probably the fungus. :)

I'm glad you like the CD and appreciate that you even wanted it. I'm close to a new one, but keep going back and changing things. Should be out by Christmas 2024. :D

Awesome Kramer. Thanx alot for the listen and comments, dude.

Thanx Greg. I respect your ears and opinion alot. I work on the vocals alot, maybe because I know it's the thing I need to work on the most. I'm usually happy to just stay on key.:)
