alright - I've had plenty of problems with PC's over the years...and many local recording studio's around me all use macs AND PC's together. They do a lot of the work/recording/editing on macs, and then send it over to thier PC's - where they finish up mastering and the rest of all that..etc.

so my question is - does anyone know where to find some info on a network that could support sending files on a mac to files on a pc. and where there are converters for mac formats to pc, and what would be the best program (lets keep it as simple as possible) to use for all that (please say CEP....lol)?

thanks a million

What kind of files???

The Mac OS will natively read and write PC audio files (.wav's) and many PC's will read and write Mac AIFF audio files. This is the EASIEST way to exchange data.

The Mac will read and burn a standard PC ISO-9660 CD-Roms.

You can also load up Thursby System's DAVE software and make a Mac a client on a Windows network to exchange files at 10-base-T or 100-base-T speeds.

Dataviz also makes MacOpener for the PC that will enable a PC to read and write Mac disks.

I bounce stuff back and forth between my Mac and PC all the time, so YES it will work.
