Funny how people get angry when one cuts the bull and speaks their mind unedited...Thats what these boards are for... I mean come on.. Sonusman telling me to shut-up and all?... I thought this board was for adults.... I mean scream at me, smack me do whatever you want, as long as it includes facts... but don't tell some one to shut up just out of spite, cause someone told it how it is and it pissed you off...This was a great debate, but getting like that makes it un-fun (is that a word?) I know you were following this thread closely sonusman, so im sure you would have read the reason I don't allow my music to be critiqued.. You know, even If I did decide to put something up for you to here.. Im sure you would say it its crap... Cause we all know how you loathe a mackie board, and knowing it was tracked and mixed on a mackie, right away would kill it for you... I could put up an the best recording ever made, and Im sure you would come back telling me that my inferior board has made it all distorted and stuff....I don't care about opinions on my music, because everyone likes different stuff... I like my music and other recording projects, (so do my clients) and thats all I care about.. Damn I hate posting all this twice.... Even though you seem to fly off the handle a bit quickly, I like you, and this was fun, and can't wait for the next debate.....(By the way, I am having a website made and there will be mp3's on it to showcase my studios work.. (not a critiqueing invitation) although anyone who critiques from mp3's is not hearing the whole story. They sound even worse than CD's).....
 
The title of that post should obviously have been "Voxvendor vs Sonusman".

Your both pretty childish, but it makes for a good flamewar. Keep it up, I enjoy it. :)

...everyone has their gear preferences based on their own experiences with it. The nice thing is that it is the end result that makes or breaks it (ie, the music produced). If it sounds good, it IS good - whether it took a Mackie, Soundcraft, SSL, or Neve to produce it!

Now I've been an this board a long time (about 2000 posts as both BlueBearSound and bvaleria combined) and I can honestly say that although we may not always agree on everything - Ed's (sonusman) abilities/knowledge have proven themselves time and again, enough so that I can easily respect his opinion and understand where he's coming from. His opinion is NOT based on obstinence or one-upmanship, simply his experiences and usage.

I've experienced a lot of bad Behringer gear, enough that I wouldn't recommend it nor buy more of it in the future. But others have and do successfully use their products. My opinion doesn't take that away, if it works for them, so be it! (Although I wouldn't endorse it!!!) ;) Other's mileage may vary!!!

Yeah what Bruce said! I think everyone who is mean to each other should shut up. I like Behringer for an alternative to mackies prices. I also don't like tomatos or salsa or baseball. Does that make me wrong? NO.

Bruce and I had a squable a while back and I crossed a line and it was stupid, but I was a mature adult and appolgized to Bruce and since then we've been the best of friends! Ok best of friends is a little much but I've realized that we have a small community of folks and too many products out there. There are so many skilled and informed people here and different experiences that opions rise. So EVERYBODY JUST CALM DOWN!!!!!!

Regebro, AMEN!! you are correct, It has turned childish. I respect Sonusmans opinion, and im sure it is true that he does awesome music. But where this went wrong, is when I was told "Shut up" and "Don't be an Idiot"... Come on. I don't care if it is Mutt Lange himself... one shouldn't be treated like that for xpressing opinions...This is silly and people dont need to see anymore of it here, If anyone wants to keep this going, you will have to email me.After this message, Im not posting on this thread anymore....you won't get much of a response though, I am even more bored with this than previously mentioned...adrrecordings@hotmail.com
 
I must have hit the "NEW THREAD " button instead of the "REPLY POST"... This new thread should have been in the "Why Mackie?" thread... I have no excuse for this, other than being born Canadian:)
