I have a Mackie 1200f I got used. I am running MAC OS X Lion 10.7.2, Cubase 6. I have the interface all setup and can record fine, when I try to play back it is a very broken static sound that almost sounds like extreme lag that can not be understood. I used the console to map the outputs to the control room which i have two monitors running through. It is not a cubase issue because I have this as the sound output for the computer and get the same problem when trying to play through it with iTunes. I have an onyx satellite and lexicon omega that both work fine with the same cables. I think it is either the physical interface that has something wrong, or something with the mackie control console software settings. I took this video to display my basic settings and play the sound that I hear, please help a Noob!!! please go to youtube dot com backslash watch?v=FBnP0ZBiVIA&feature=youtube_gdata_player

Could this be the old Fussywire chipset or driver issue?

I always thought that macs were immune to Firewire audio problems but 'it'appen!

Dave.
