Hey guys I have a mackie 8 bus, and days after i got it sometimes when i'd be using sub outs, my channels start fuzzing up and go out and then come back in, and then i can hit the mixer in certain places and it stops. (sometimes this happens to individual channels as well). Im gonna have to send this thing in arent I? Does this happen often?

i'm not a Mackie 8 bus owner, but if you bought this thing brand new..
SEND IT BACK...at least for them to fix it, if not give you a new board

good luck

I work with Mackie 8 bus often and I tell you: this is not normal!

Send it back, I also had problems with other bugs, probably there's a bug in the operating software.

I used to work with a Mackie 8 bus often until we started having these same problems. Then we upgraded to a soundcraft ghost :)

The Mackie 8-bus mixers have a documented problem with the internal ribbon cables that causes the problems you noted. You can get more info on the Mackie user forums or call Mackie support directly and they can help you get it straightened out.

Darryl.....
