I'm getting rid of my Behringer UB22222222222fxcrap and looking to upgrade to a Mackie 1202VX pro. Will I really be impressed with the difference. I have never recorded with a Mackie, but I have always heard great things about them. Anyway, I have found a good deal on one, and would be great to get some input. Thanks in advance

I love mine!!!!

How good of a deal are you talking about? The reason I ask, I just upgraded yesterday to a 1402 VXL- Pro and have a MINT 1202 for sale. I am including the rack ears.

Let me know if you're interested.

What do you mean by edgier? Are the highs more pronounced?

I'll let you have it for $175 (plus shipping which I'm guessing to be around $18-$20.) including rack ears. And it is dead mint both cosmetically and functionally. I have owned it since new. I don't have manual (I do but I can't locate it since moving) but it can be downloaded at Mackie site. Also includes AC cord.

I will happy to send you pics tonight when I get home this evening.

Let me know.

Earl,
I sent you a private message with my email. If you could email me a few pics that would be excellent. We will talk more via email.

I used to have a Behringer MX series mixer. I upgraded to a Mackie 1202VLZ and the difference in pres and EQ was dramatic.

I haven't tried the UB series mixers so take my comment with a grain of salt.

Also, don't interpret my comments as "Mackie Pres rock!" because I think my M-Audio DMP3 preamp sounds way "better" than the Mackie pres. All I use my Mackie for nowadays is volume control on the monitors and to route reverb into the headphone mix for tracking vocals.
