This is probably a really dumb question, but is it possible to connect a Mackie 1202 VLZ Pro mixer to the line-in on a Portable Digital recorder like a Zoom H2 or Olympus LS-10? I doubt I would want use external mics very often, but I have a couple of decent condenser mics that require phantom power. I primarily record voice, acoustic guitar and on occassion mandolin.

I already have a computer based setup with an ECHO AudioFire8 interface for more serious recording but would like the convenience of using a portable recorder to get down some song ideas a little more quickly.

I'm not familiar with any of those units specifically, but if the mixer has a line level out and the portable unit has a line level in, then I don't see why it wouldn't work
